Aginic Design Sprint is a four-day process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with real end-customers. It’s based on Google Ventures Design Sprint, which is a “greatest hits” of business strategy, innovation, behavior science and design thinking.

Our Design Sprint can shortcut the endless-debate cycle and compress months of planning, production and testing time into just four days. Instead of building and launching a product to just evaluate if an idea is any good, Design Sprint powered prototype can answer these critical questions with minimal resources and commitment in just one short sprint.


Preparation – Pre-Workshop

Preparation phase happens well before the Design Sprint, and it consists of short exercises and steps that we want to run prior to the workshop. This way, we can ensure effective outcomes from the Design Sprint.

Day 1 – Define

Day 1 is all about outlining the right problem to focus on and multiple solutions to address it.
It starts with short expert Interviews. The sprint team invites experts from the organisation to share their knowledge on various aspects of the challenge.

Equipped with new knowledge and positive perspective the sprint team moves towards defining the main questions of the Design Sprint as well as the long-term goal for the product or solution. This helps to put things into perspective and focus on the main, most important aspect of the problem.

This is followed by defining the user groups. Where all the different user groups that will interact with the product or solution are recorded and their needs outlined.

With the long-term goal outlined and the user groups defined, the sprint team starts mapping a customer journey and choosing the target touchpoint of this journey, which will serve as the main focus of the sprint.

Day 2 – Sketch and Decide

Day 2 starts with the sprint team presenting Lightning Demos or, in other words, already existing successful solutions in the same field, to gain some inspiration. With new ideas in mind, each team member tries to produce individually multiple sketches that would represent the future solution.

This is followed by the presentation of the concepts by the Facilitator and then voting. This is used to help the decider to make an informed decision and choose one concept (or blending two together) that the whole Team will prototype later.

Day 3 – Prototyping

Day 3 is dedicated to building an interactive prototype that is based on the information gathered from previous days. The prototype building is a collaborative process where everyone in the sprint team takes a role and contributes to build the best possible prototype.

After the prototype is built it will be played back to the whole workshop group for feedback and refinements.

Day 4 – Testing

Day 4 is all about testing. But before that, there is room to do small refinements to the prototype based on the feedback from the stakeholders. Conducted reviews are open-ended qualitative interviews where users will try out the prototype and give their feedback.

Testing will be done with up to 5 candidates. This might seem not many, however, it’s statistically proven that after the 5th interview the amount of new useful information dramatically declines.
